Did you know that within the physical body that life flows through pathways called energy centres or meridians. It may also flow around us in a field of energy called the aura.
This life force nourishes the organs and cells of the physical body supporting its vital functions. When the life force is interrupted, it may cause diminished function in one or more of the organs of our body. Our energy centers or chakras are like doors which allow life force to flow freely around our bodies, feeding us with energy and light.
These doors are directly effected by our thoughts and feelings. Our energy centres can close when we accept consciously or unconsciously negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves.
The History of Agate
Agate is one of my favourite gemstones as its an excellent stone for helping to heal and improve relationships. Agate was first discovered around the 3rd/4th century (BC) by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher who named the stone after the river in which it was found, the ‘Achates,’ in Italy.
Agate is known as a stone of strength. It was used by Ancient people on the breastplates of their armour to give warriors strength and to make them victorious in battle.
